Meredith Pierson Goodman, M.Ed, NCC, LCMHC/LPC

A native of North Carolina, Meredith received her bachelors degree at University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a degree in communications. She attended North Carolina State University for graduate school and received a masters degree in Counselor Education in 2014. She has been in Private Practice since Spring 2017 when she opened Movement Counseling.

 

Meredith is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).

Meredith works with individual adolescents, and adults with a variety of needs. She specializes in working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, OCD and life transitions. Meredith's approach to counseling is tailored to each clients needs while being goal/ action oriented and pulling from cognitive behavioral therapy. She focuses on a clients overall success and wellness, while providing a safe and supportive environment. She works with clients to manage stress, set goals, and develop a healthy balanced lifestyle. Meredith views therapy as a collaborative process that can empower individuals to make positive change and progress in their lives. She is serving clients in both North and South Carolina!

Elizabeth Reynolds, MS, LPC

Elizabeth is a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Mississippi and South Carolina. Elizabeth
received her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in Psychology. She received her Master's of Science degree from Mississippi College in Marriage and Family Therapy.


She has been a therapist for 10 + years. Over the years, she has worked with an array of disorders from Schizophrenia to depression. Elizabeth works with adult individuals, specializing in anxiety, depression and relational issues. Needless to say, she has seen and heard a lot. Elizabeth loves what she does and embraces all of the challenges and triumphs in helping clients grow and heal. Her therapy style is very welcoming, relaxed, and nonjudgmental. She will meet you where you are and help you get where you want to go. Elizabeth often tells her clients, "I am not the expert on you, you are!" She strives to empower you to discover the best version of yourself and achieve your goals. She is serving clients in South Carolina!

Tonya Williams Todd, MSW, LCSW
Tonya has provided counseling to clients for over 20 years. She obtained her Bachelor and             Masters of Social Work degree from East Carolina University. Her Bachelors was obtained

in 1998 and her Masters in 2009. After receiving her Masters and serving clients in a private

not for profit setting she obtained her Licensed Clinical Social Worker Certification from the

North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board in May of 2015.


Tonya works with individuals, adolescents, and adults with a variety of needs. She specializes in
working with anxiety, grief, depression and life transitions. Tonya’s approach to counseling is a
person centered approach which pulls from a variety of therapy modalities. She utilizes Solution
Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. Her goal is to tailor treatment to
each individual’s needs in an effort to improve their quality of life. She focuses on a client’s overall
success and wellness, while providing a safe and supportive environment. Tonya uses a collaborative approach with clients to assist them in becoming an active participant in their therapy by supporting them in goal setting and developing pathways to a healthier and happier self. 
She is serving clients in North Carolina!

Nancy J. Smith, MSW, LCSW

Nancy J. Smith is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that has been providing mental health

services for over 17 years to the eastern Wake County communities and surrounding counties. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from NC State University in 2000, a Master of Social Work Degree from East Carolina University in 2004 and is a long-standing member of the National Association of Social Workers. Nancy’s career found her as she returned to college as an older student, following in her mothers footsteps to pursue a career in helping others. She knew then that she had to help people, and has especially enjoyed empowering others to find their voice!

Nancy works with individuals and couples ages 16 and older. Her approach to counseling is straight forward , meeting clients where they are with no judgment and a goal to collaborate with and support every client. She is considered a generalist, while utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She does a lot of work on the child within and family of origin. She can help you recognize your own strengths, pay attention to your thoughts, which in turn will change your behavior. Old patterns become new ones as you recognize your own potential.  works well with clients  who struggle with codependency, self esteem issues, experienced trauma, relationship issues, domestic violence and relational issues, pet grief and in the past has practiced equine therapy. She is serving clients located in North Carolina and South Carolina!

The mission of Movement Counseling is to provide an individualized approach to counseling and to help clients be their best self through a collaborative therapeutic process.
